Safety First: Safety is our top priority. We adhere to strict safety protocols and ensure pilots that participate in the First Flight program are vetted. Parents can rest assured that their children are in safe and capable hands.
All pilot volunteers must meet the following to serve as a First Flight Pilot:
Be dedicated to ensuring a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for every young aviator
Have an appropriate airman's certificate for the aircraft
Be current, by FAA definition, to carry passengers in the aircraft
Aircraft must be covered by passenger liability insurance
Have a current flight review
Be endorsed by First Flight's Coordinator(s)
