Program Guide

Each event is carefully organized to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. By offering this unique opportunity, we aim to inspire the next generation of pilots, engineers, and aviation enthusiasts. The experience often leaves a lasting impression and boost in personal confidence!

What to Expect: 

On the day of the event expect an exciting and memorable experience filled with the thrill of aviation! Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by our friendly team of volunteers. For those registered to fly, there will be a registration booth available to check-in. Once checked in you'll receive information and instruction on how to prepare. Once ready, head on over to the Flight Ops area. The Flight Ops team will ensure participants are safely transported to and from the flight line as seats come available. 

Prior to flights, there will be a brief orientation session where participants learn about safety protocols, the basics of flight, and what to expect during their time in the air. Young aviators will have the opportunity to board a small, private airplane and enjoy a thrilling ride, guided by our experienced volunteer pilots. After the flight, participants can engage in interactive activities, ask questions, and take photos with the pilots and planes. The event concludes with a certificate presentation to commemorate their first flight, leaving every child with lasting memories!

For those on the ground we have vendor booths, info sessions, flight simulators, and local aviators available to engage with the community! Grab a snack, sit back and enjoy the sights, sounds and smiles!

Who Can Participate:

The First Flight program is open to kids aged 8 to 17. No prior experience or knowledge is required—just a sense of adventure and a willingness to learn! Attending the event is completely free and open to all. Come on out and enjoy a day at the airport!
